Ps.-Jerome, Sermo in parochiis necessarius

unedited, edition by Gordon Blennemann, Albrecht Diem and Matthieu van der Meer in progress

The text combines extracts from various letters of Jerome, esp. Ep. 58, 125, 60, 66, 46, 52 and 54. It shows similarities but is not identical with Ps. Jerome, Ep. ad monachos.

The manuscript Lyon, BM 600/Paris BNF n.a.l. 446 contains the entire text of the Sermo in parochiis interspersed with material that does not appear in the Sermo.
