Manuscripts:
There are probably many more manuscripts, especially in French, English and Italian libraries. In most cases documented here De opere monachorum appears in collections of works of Augustine and in miscellaneous collections of theological texts. The text also appears in some of the 'Austrian' collections of monastic rules. Aside from that, it rarely appears in combination with other ascetic or monastic texts.
It might be worthwhile to investigate the implications of such contexts of transmission on the way how a reform text criticizing certain monastic practices was read and unsterstood throughout the Middle Ages and whether it was used as authority in movements of monastic reforms. In some cases (probably more than those documented here) De opere monachorum was excerpted and abbreviated: also a potentially fruitful research project.
